Lackawanna #663 (owned by Tri-State Railway Historical Society, Inc.) & 664 (owned by Anthracite Railroads Historical Society, Inc.) EMD F3A engines (builder: General Motors Electro-Motive Division Model F3, 1948) plus an F3b booster unit passing through Easton PA. These diesel locomotives are visiting Steamtown and operating the park's 2013 excursions. The locomotives are on temporary loan to the National Park Service for display and traveling interpretive operations.

This major expedition of the Revolution aimed at the Indian-Tory alliance in New York, was organized at Easton under Gen. John Sullivan. Over a month''s preparations preceded the first day''s march, begun near here June 18, 1779.
